Gainesville...Welcome to Argo Electrical

Electrical issues are common in any home, but not every problem requires a professional. Simple fixes like resetting breakers or replacing outlets can often be handled safely.
However, more serious issues—like frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, or burning smells—should always be handled by a licensed electrician.
If you’re dealing with electrical problems in Gainesville, GA, Argo Electrical Services is here to help with safe, reliable solutions.
Welcome to the Argo Electrical Blog
Hi, I’m Georgia Argo, a non-restricted electrical contractor in the state of Georgia. I’ve been working in the electrical field for over 35 years and operate a small, brick-and-mortar electrical service based in Gainesville, Georgia.
I’m starting this blog for two main reasons: to strengthen my online presence and, more importantly, to create a space for sharing knowledge and discussion around the electrical trade. Here, you’ll find insights on electrical theory, real-world installations, and practical guidance—especially for those running or looking to start a small service business in the metro Atlanta area or similar markets.
One of the most important parts of this trade is staying current. The National Electrical Code is always evolving, and I make it a priority to keep up through continuing education, as well as by following experienced professionals across platforms like YouTube and social media. On a day-to-day basis, I’m still in the field—working with my tools, solving problems, and serving customers.
As I approach 60 years old, I’ve become more aware of how much valuable knowledge exists within this industry—and how quickly it can be lost if not shared. Many of the electricians I’ve learned from and looked up to are aging, and this blog is an effort to document and preserve as much of that knowledge as possible. My goal is to pass along what I’ve been taught, combined with ongoing research and reference to the National Electrical Code and NFPA standards.
This blog is intended to be purely educational. Any images, information, or references used belong to their respective creators and organizations who have contributed to the development and guidance of electricians over the years. All original content published here is the work of Georgia Argo, Argo Electrical Services, and any contributors who choose to share their knowledge.
Thank you for being here.
